BACKPACKS OF HOPE MINISTRY

MISSION AND OUTREACH

This year, Frost Baptist Church has participated in the Backpacks of Hope Ministry. The North American Mission Board and Send Relief have helped provide free backpacks to thousands of children in communities across America by giving help and hope to families.

By participating in Backpacks of Hope, we can be the hands and feet of Christ, spreading the gospel throughout our community. 

In 2026, we have the opportunity to provide help and hope to 24 families in our community. Within these 24 families, we have the privilege to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to 49 children in our very own community. 

As the new 2026-2027 school year begins, many families in our community are facing real needs. For some, even basic school supplies are out of reach. The Adopt a Backpack Program is a simple way for our church to respond. It offers a real opportunity to meet a real need, build a relationship, and open the door to the gospel. Through this effort, we can step into our community in a tangible, relational way. What starts as a backpack can lead to conversations, trust, and ongoing ministry. Backpack Day provides a practical next step. When the Church shows up with compassion, people experience more than help. They encounter hope.  The Mission and Outreach Team has partnered with the Children' s Ministries and has prayerfully and carefully identified recipients who we feel would be good recipients to receive one of these backpacks.  We thank you for responding to the call to be the hands and feet of the gospel by helping to spread help and hope to fulfill the need. Thanks to you, we're one step closer to empowering students for a brighter future by offering hope.
