THE GREAT COMMISSION

Matthew 28:16-20
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Tithes & Offerings

Our weekly tithes and offerings helps to spread the Gospel around the world fulfilling the "Great  Commission" commanded by Jesus Christ when he spoke to the disciples at the end of Matthew. These verses are applicable even for us today. Your feet may never be able to touch the ground in other countries around the world, but we can provide the way for those whom God has called to reach a lost and hurting world.
Romans 10:15 starting with verse 14 says, How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news.' Verse 17 says, So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Even though we may not all be called to other parts of the world, we have ALL been called to help spread the Gospel, our kingdom work is important. Some of the ways you can help would be spending part of your prayer time specifically praying for the missionaries who travel to other countries around the world, giving of your time gathering supplies for the shoe boxes, donating and packing food for those who are less fortunate, or monetarily giving part of what God has blessed you with, just to name a few.
