Have you ever taken a trip and because of the scenery you feel refreshed and renewed? Life at that moment fells peaceful and you are at rest. I'm quite sure that most of us have heard the phrase to "stop and smell the roses". Sometimes we need to stop and soak in the goodness of God's creation.
New life in nature draws our thoughts to new life in grace. For by faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. (Heb. 11:3) When God's grace awakens us as we read the pages of Scripture and hear the Word preached, our eyes are opened to see our sin. .
No artist in the world can compare to the Creator of all. He is greater than any human artist or sculptor—His art is alive. There is beauty all around. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.(Ps 19;1). What a gift God has given us. When we are downcast let his workmanship lift our hearts. Let the beauty of God's creation move us to praise the Lord.
Lord, I come to you with a humble heart asking that you forgive me when I sin and fall short of your glory. Thank you for this day. Thank you for the rising sun that reminds me that your mercies are new every morning. Your handiwork declares your glory. May I open my eyes to the beauty around me created by the Master Himself so that I may be renewed and refreshed to take on the day you have made for me. It is by Your hand that you hold the universe together. From the sound of the oceans waves to the soft sound of the falling snow let my heart rejoice in my God and my Savior for allowing me to see Your beauty. O, but to see the heavens one day where You are the light that outshines the sun. Thank you for Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior who has taken away the sins of the world. For by grace I have been saved through faith. And this is not my own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. It is Jesus Christ who loved me and gave Himself for me. May our prayer be pleasing to you as we lift our voice in worship. It is in the precious name of Jesus I pray, amen.
