The Choice is Yours
Whoever believers in the Son has eternal life, whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
At the close of the third chapter of John's Gospel, John the Baptist laid out two divergent paths, sincere faith and stubborn disobedience. As John faded from the forefront, he offered an invitation to faith in the Son and clearly expressed the ultimate consequence of failure to believe, i.e, "the wrath of God." ~John McArthur Study Bible Commentary.
We are all given an opportunity to believe. The message of salvation has been given to us. Will you believe or chose to disbelieve ,as so goes the world? Today, and only today, has been given to us. Live every moment as though He is coming back and therefore we shall stand at the thrown of judgement and be faced with this very question. What will you say on that day?
Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. I come to you in repentance of my sin. For you know even the innermost parts of my being better than I. O how I seek Your rest. How I seek after You with all by soul. You have turned my heart toward you. Let my heart sing for joy. May all those whom you have called open their hearts to you this day. May their hearts not be hardened by the world who speaks as though you do not even exist. May the prayer of your servant be a pleasing sound to you this day. It is in the precious name of Jesus I pray, amen.
