His Word Gives Christians Perspective and Encouragement
The Bible helps us to understand more about God's work in creation. His Word gives Christians a perspective unlike the world's perspective as to what the Lord has done that encourages us as we serve Him.
Paul affirmed that Christ created everything. Everything in creation held together, therefore, only through him (Col. 1:15-17 ESV). It states: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether throngs or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. His describing Jesus in this manner emphasizes that he is both the representation and manifestation of God. He is fully God in every way. (Col. 2:9, John 8:56; 10:30-33, Heb. 1:8).
LORD, I come to you with a humble heart. Your word gives encouragement and understanding to my soul. For by You and for You all things were made and are held together. You formed the world and everything in it. The heavens declare your glory and the sky above proclaims your handiwork. Your law is perfect, reviving the soul; Your testimony is sure, making wise the simple; Your precepts are right rejoicing the heart; Your commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever, Your rules are true, and righteous altogether. My heart is overwhelmed by your grace poured on me out each day of my life. Your mercies are new every morning. It is by your redemptive plan that I have been saved through your gift of grace. I fall on my knees because of your great love shown through Your Word for those that love you. May all that I do give you glory and honor. May I always point to Christ my LORD and my Savior. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
