There was a little elderly lady who lived across the street from my family when we moved into our house about 17 years ago. One thing special that I remember the most about her is she had a sign in her front yard that read, "Go to Church Somewhere". She wanted others to find out about the same hope in Jesus Christ that she had. The only way she could do that was to put a sign in her front yard. Even though she couldn't reach others by going herself, she did the only thing she knew she could do, put a sign in her front yard inviting others to go and see for themselves. For 17 years I drove past her front yard with the sign telling others to find a church. What an encouragement she was and is. She has since past away and the house sold. The sign came down, but her love for others will not be forgotten. So, I encourage you to "go to church somewhere". Go see for yourself. Go so you can learn of the hope that is only found in Jesus Christ. For He came for all mankind so that whosoever believes in him shall be saved. (John 3:16)
Lord, forgive us of our sin. May what we do and say today be a pleasing aroma to You. May Your word touch someone's heart today and give them encouragement and strength. We love you Lord for giving us Your Son Jesus Christ to make atonement for our sin. For without you we are dead in our tresspassess. You are my strength and my shield. You cover me with your outstretched hands. Thank you Lord for loving us. It is in the precious name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
