Endurance

We Will Receive What is Promised

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For, Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls (Hebrews 10 36-39). 

Jesus is coming soon. No one knows the day nor the hour of his return. Therefore we should be ready at all times. We as believers will not be counted among those who fall away to destruction, but we who have faith will preserve our souls. We must trust fully in Christ by living out the will of the Father. If we put our trust exclusively in Christ, we will obtain the promise of salvation. 

Lord, I come to you today with a humble heart. Thank you for your great love for your children. You are my rock and my endurance. You are my strength. I have need of your strength to help me in this day. May all that I do be pleasing to you. May the words of my mouth be ever true. It is by you and for you that I can do all things. Thank you for the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Thank you for preparing me for what may come. No matter what may happen in this life, You are still God and You are still on your throne. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
