Jesus, by his own blood, ransomed us from sin and death once for all. Hebrews 9:11-12 states: But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. Christ gave himself for all. He gave himself for those past, present, and future. Our salvation is eternally secure through Jesus Christ. Read those words again, "but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption" v12. My heart is overwhelmed with the since of hope, joy, and peace. When Scriptures such as these seem to leap from the pages of God's Holy Word I find encouragement and strength to continue on. To continue the race in which we are all on, if believers in Christ Jesus, because of the security we have in Him. What a blessing it is to know that he has paid the wages for my sin and I am released from the slavery of sin.
Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. Thank you for allowing me to see your redemptive plan through the pages of Scripture. You came to seek and to save the lost by your own blood on the cross. We give thanksgiving, honor, and praise to you. May our praise and worship to you be a pleasing aroma. Thank you for your Son. It is in Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.
