Faith like a Mustard Seed

When We Learn to Trust

If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20).

By Jesus' definition of true faith, there is total surrender to the will of God and Jesus is the source of genuine faith. When we truly trust in God as Jesus as our source we will have the courage and strength to continue the race that is before us. No matter the situation we find ourselves in, God is right there with us. When we have faith there is nothing that is impossible for us. For nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37).

When God's word is at the frontlet of your mind, you are able to take a situation and turn it into a learning experience. For instance, with it being summertime and lots of activities surrounded by being outdoors or in the pool, my young grand-daughter was just learning to swim. To encourage her, I used phrases such as "I'm right here, just let go". If I may use this as an analogy for a moment to liken it to our walk with our Heavenly Father.; He is right here with us, walking with us even though we may feel as though we are on our own, so to speak. He is within reach at any time and at every moment of our lives. Learning to put our total trust and surrender to His will and not our own, can move mountains.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. I come to You in awe of how You show us Your Word that is living and active. When Your Word is hidden in our hearts, even the little things in our lives bring remembrance of Your faithfulness. O, how my trust is in you and my heart is overwhelmed by Your goodness and mercy. Thank you for the inspired Word of God. For as Your Word tells us, it is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword. Thank you for the moments in my life when Your Word comes to life. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
