It would do us well to seize every moment and opportunity we have to read and study Scripture so that we may be a people firmly grounded. The wisdom we glean from Scripture will enable us to discern what is true from false or right from wrong making us equipped to withstand the trials of life. Setting aside time to meditate on his word blocking out all distractions is of the utmost importance. When we invest the time to do more than just read the text of Scripture, but to meditate on it, we will correctly handle God's Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 states: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
Lord, I come to you today and ask that you please forgive my sin against you. For it is you that I have sinned against. Thank you for your grace that covers me enabling me to present myself before you unashamed because of the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for me. Help me to gain the wisdom that I need to understand Your Word of truth in Scripture so that I may live out a life pleasing to you. May all I do today be a pleasing aroma to you. May the prayers of your saints be a sweet sound to your ears. Thank you Lord for loving us and giving your Son for us. It is Jesus name I pray. Amen.
