Is the Gospel Really for All People?
Do we believe the gospel is for all people? If we do, then we will be willing to share the gospel with all people of every walk of life. We will be willing to share the gospel with those who share our culture and those who do not. And we will be willing to share it with those who are more educated and those that are less. Let us be willing to speak the truth of the gospel to everyone we know, no matter their background or circumstances.
Hebrews 8:11-12 tells us, "They shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying "Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." This passage highlights the nature of the new covenant, which is made with all classes of people and shows our utter dependence on the Lord for knowing Him. God's grace will be poured out on all ranks of men. The knowledge and wisdom can not be attained by means of our own, but it is by his grace and mercy that we should know him. And it is by his good pleasure that our sins shall no longer be remembered.
