Forgiven

Trust in God

Stop dwelling on the past and trying to take back past sin and hurt in your life. Trust God to do as he said he would do. Romans 4:7-8 tells us, "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered, blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin." If this is you, stop trying to carry the weight of sin, guilt, or hurt on your shoulders. It is to heavy to bear on your own. Give it to God, then leave it there. Dig deep into God's word, meditate on it day and night. Lean on his word to give you strength to let go. We serve an awesome God. Would he have given his own Son for you and I if he were a God that held our sins against us? Thanks be to God he is not. For Jesus paid for your sin and mine. When we ask for forgiveness, his blood is what covers us. Do you believe this? If so, we must trust that God has covered them and no longer counts our sin against us because of Jesus Christ his Son.
