If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
There are four conditions for national forgiveness of Israel's sins. These same conditions in 2 Chronicles can be applied to our nation; 1) humility, 2) prayer; 3) longing for God, and 4) repentance.
As a nation, have we turned our back from God? Have we gone so far that God has removed his hand from our land? Let those who are called by his name seek once again after him. Let us humble ourselves and pray and turn from our wicked ways so that he will hear our plea and heal our land.
LORD, I come to you with a humble heart. I pray for our great nation in which we live that we will turn back to you and seek your face. May we repent from our wicked ways. May you heal our land for the sake of those whom you call by your name. Your children call out to you. Your children seek your face and thirst for your righteousness. We give honor and praise to you. O LORD God, hear our plea and do not turn away from your hearing. May we once again seek after you. Let your will be done and not our own. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
