O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! What a beautiful opening to Psalm 8. King David opens this Psalm with LORD...Lord and is the direct address to God. The first is his revealed name Yahweh (Ex. 3:14) where God spoke to Moses and declared, "I AM WHO I AM" and the second his sovereignty. When David used "your name" he referred to the revealed person of God, encompassing all of his attributes. With just a few words David addressed God for who he is. Our LORD! Our Lord! Yahweh our sovereign Lord. Your name, how majestic in all the earth. Let us sing praises to God today, O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! How beautiful are the words of God spoken and written down for us.
O LORD, our Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. How beautiful are your words to us. My heart sings of your glory and honor. How majestic is your name in all the earth!. Praise, honor and glory go to you. We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was. Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. We give thanks to you today. Thank you for Jesus Christ who took my place on Calvary. It is the beautiful majestic name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
