Hope and Peace

God's Word is Faithful

God's Word is faithful and true, for it will accomplish the purpose for which he sent it and will not return to him empty. (Isaiah 55:11) Evil may seem as though it is having its way with the world (for the moment). But we can have hope and peace in God. His Word tells us that he will, the God of peace, "shortly crush Satan's head under his feet" (Romans 16:20). 

Lord, you know the sorrow and pain in which many of your children are going through today. We put our trust, our hope, and our peace in you and lean not on our own understanding. For we serve a mighty and loving God. You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Your faithfulness is my shield. Thank you for loving us. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
