How will you read the Bible in 2022?

How will you read the Bible in 2022? New Year, New You! Right! We have all made those New Year resolutions. Some we've been able to keep successfully and others not so much. In fact we flat out failed at them. As the new year rings in, we as Christians fully intend on making it intentional to spend more time devoted to reading the Bible. But our lives are busy, and it seems as though they are getting busier by the moment The time we planned on setting aside for that purpose is squeezed by all the other things in life that need attention.  If we are honest with ourselves keeping that resolution can be hard. However, making time to start our day off right with reading the Bible is an important and healthy way to start our day. Just as food is to the body, reading Scripture is to the soul. Matthew 4:4 says, "Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Just as we strive to start our day with a healthy breakfast to get our metabolisms going and give us energy throughout the day, we need spiritual energy to keep us fit for the battle. When we read Scripture we are reading God! It is his heart and mind. Without food we become malnourished just as without reading the Word of God our souls become malnourished and unfit.

What steps are you taking to ensure you are in God's Word daily?
