"I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

"Where I am you may be also"

Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."  However, Thomas, without Jesus' rebuking him asked Jesus, "How can we know the way?" Jesus' response, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. no one comes to the Father except through me. if you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him." (John 14:1-7)

Jesus gave Thomas the answer he was needing. He declared he is the way to God because he is the truth of God and the life of God. There is only one way, not many ways, that exist to God, i.e, Jesus Christ. He will come again for his children to take us home with him.

We have recently lost one of our dear brothers in Christ. What a godly man he was. He proclaimed Jesus to all around him. Whether sick in the hospital, visiting the lumber yard, or fellowshiping with the men over coffee, Jesus was made known to those who would listen to him. Mr. Wallace hoped in and believed in our dear Lord and Savior. He knew of and trusted in the promises of God. He is without a doubt standing before our precious savior being welcomed home. What comfort and peace this brings to all who knew him. We know that he is home. No more pain and suffering, no more tears.
Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. Thank you for your words of comfort to anyone who may have lost a loved one. If their hope and trust is and was in you we can have peace knowing that you have taken them home to be with you. There are no more tears, no more pain. For where you are there isn"t sickness or grief. May we be joyful and full of peace knowing that our loved one is singing with the angels and the saints of your glory. We join them with our own voices in worship. We worship you Lord Jesus and give our praises to you. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you for loving us. It is in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
