Imitators of God

No Greater Calling

The Christian has no greater calling than that of imitating our Lord Jesus Christ. To grow in likeness to the Lord while serving him on earth so that we may reproduce godliness as modeled by the Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. It is in his image believers have been recreated through new birth. "Therefore be imitators of God as beloved children." (Ephesians 5:1) "Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us." (Ephesians 5:2) As his dear children, believers are to become more like our heavenly Father.
