Christ Who Lives In Me

It is by the cross that we know the gravity of sin and the greatness of His love toward us. ~ John Chrysostom

It is Jesus death on the cross that has made forgiveness of my sins possible. Through faith in Jesus Christ we are given new life. Galatians 2:20 states; I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. and the live I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
For the believer who trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, we spiritually participate in the crucifixion. We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin ( Romans 6:4-6).

We must then consider this, if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives for God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus ( Romans 6:5-11).

Lord, I come to You with a humble heart. Thank you for pouring out your love for us on the cross. There is no sacrifice greater. It is by the cross that I know the gravity of sin and the greatness of your love toward us. It is by your death and resurrection that has made forgiveness of my sin possible. By faith in Jesus Christ I have been redeemed. You paid the ultimate price for my sin and freely offered yourself for me. My heart is overwhelmed by you. My we glorify your name and give you honor. I pray for those who have not turned to you for salvation, that they turn to You today before the day is spent. Turn to you for forgiveness of sin for we have all sinned and fallen short of your glory. I pray that they know the great love you poured out for all of man. And because of your great love for us You were held to the cross until it was finished. Payment for sin has been satisfied.  It is in Jesus name I pray, amen.
