Jesus Seeks for You

Seeing the Truth

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" "Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in Him." Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you."  Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him (John 9:35-38).

This formally blind man had been healed by Jesus. Jesus spat on the ground and made mud and covered the mans eyes with it. Then, sent him to the Pool of Siloam. (John 9:1-7). Which means sent. However, it was not the pool that had healed him but the One who sent him.

Jesus seeks after you. Jesus seeks after me. It is He, the "sent one" of God, who is the light of the world who seeks for us. He is not lost, we are. This is why he sent his Son into the world to find and save us (John 3:16). What a beautiful picture of our Lord and Savior finding the man. Then, asking him the most important question that can be asked: "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

Romans 10:9 states; "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

The world cannot see God, for like the Pharisees, their eyes are covered. They had seen but could not believe. The same Jesus that healed the man and sought for him, seeks for you. He seeks to open your spiritual eyes. What will you do with him? Will you believe?

Lord, I come to you today with a humble heart. Thank you for letting us see more and more of you through the pages of Scripture. My heart is overwhelmed. My one desire is to please you. I worship you with my whole heart. May my prayer be pleasing to you. I lay at your feet my sin against you and ask for your forgiveness. For it is against you that I have sinned. I lay at your feet all of my anxieties. Thank you for opening my eyes. Thank you for letting me see the Good Shepherd. Thank you for leading me and walking with me through this life you have given me. You lead me by still waters. You restore my soul. You invite me to take your yoke for it is light and easy. Thank you for Jesus Christ who has washed away all of my sin to be remembered no more. It is. in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
