Living Real in This World

How can I guard myself from encroaching sin?

Life often seems to be out of control, and yet all events and situations are understood in the light of divine providences as being right on course according to God's timetable. Assurring glimpses of a future "God day" bolsters the call for perseverance to the end. Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm in the Book of Psalms for it contains superscriptions or titles for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet. In it we find the answers to living real in this world. Psalm 119: 1-8 states, "Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! We are to make a habitual habit to live our daily lives seeking his will with our whole heart. We are to seek God with our intellect, volition, and emotions. How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.; with my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments. (Psalm 119:9-10). So how can we guard against encroaching sin? By guarding our hearts according to God's law.
LORD, I come to you today with a humble heart that seeks after you. May all my ways acknowledge you. For your word tells me that you will direct my path. My life is in your hands. You You  alone formed me in my mother's womb by your very hands. You know the plans you have made for me. Plans to prosper me and not to harm me. I seek you with my whole heart and search for you in all my ways. I love you LORD and I lift my voice in praise to you. Thank you for Jesus Christ who gave himself for every human being past, present, and future. It is in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
