God can and will do great things with ordinary people.
It has always been God's way to do great things with those who do not appear to be very much to the world. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD." (Isaiah 55:8) Take David, a shepherd boy, who was nearly forgotten. God called the youngest son of Jesse to be anointed king over Israel after his own heart. (1 Samuel 16) He chose to bring the news of the birth of our Lord and Savior to lowly shepherds keeping watch over their sheep by night. (Luke 2:8-20) He used men of no great reputation, such as Paul and Silas, to proclaim His gospel to the ends of the earth. They turned the world upside down. (Acts 17:1-6) God can do great things with ordinary people.
"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
