Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into his grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2).
We were once at war with and enemies of God. But because of the faith in Christ our Savior and his atoning work we have been justified. We can now enjoy peace with God. We can stand and rejoice in the hope of his glory.
Without Jesus Christ, who eternally secures us, we would have no basis for hope. O, come to him today all you who do not believe in Christ the Lord. Come to him while it is still called today. Without Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives we are eternally separated and at war with God Almighty himself.
Lord, I come to you today with a humble heart. Forgive me where I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. I thank you for Scriptures such as this that give us a hope and a peace. For even when we were weak Christ died for us. For it is by your grace we have been saved through faith. By faith in Christ Jesus your Son we have been justified and can now rejoice in your glory. We are no longer enemies but heirs, Children of God. My heart rejoices because of your great mercies. Out of my heart flows overwhelming joy. I give you glory, honor, and praise for great things you have done. Thank you for your mercies that are new every morning. Thank you for Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior who has taken away the sins of the world. In Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
