Pure Joy

Experiencing Joy Unspeakable 

One morning I was awakened by laughter. Laughter that comes from pure joy. My laughter that morning was coming from within my very soul. A type of laughter you experience that gives you comfort and peace. The reason; the hope that I had from the realization that I was truly a child of God. For just a brief moment I experienced true and pure joy within my very heart and soul. O, to be awakened by the Holy Spirit in that way again. For He has made me glad and has given me strength to carry on. I will never forget how it felt, for just a brief moment, to experience the goodness of God. The joy I experienced on that morning is only the smallest of glimpses of what it may be like in heaven as we, along with the heavenly hosts, sing praises and worship to God. What a glorious day that will be. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope (Romans 15:13). 

Lord, I come to you today with a humble and contrite spirit. I give praise and worship to you alone for the good you have shown me by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. For pure joy and hope can only come from you. Thank you for your Son. Thank you for sending our comforter, the Holy Spirit, to dwell with us and give us small glypses into what heaven may be likened to. May our praise and worship be pleasing to you today and always. It is in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
