Refuge and Strength

God Is Our Fortress

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear though the earth give way (Psalm 46:1a).

When the most stable becomes unstable, there should be "no fear" because of the transcendent stability of God.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. I take refuge in you for you are my refuge and strength. In times of trouble you will not be moved. Please forgive me when I sin and fall short of your glory. Give this day all that I have need of not all that I want. For the desires of my heart seek your will. Thank you for Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior. Thank you for giving me life and life more abundantly. Thank you for giving me more than I could ever ask for. May you open the eyes of those you have called by grace that they may seek a personal relationship with you. For you came to seek and to save the lost. May our prayer be pleasing to You. May it be a sweet sound to You as we lift our voice in prayer. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
