The Sphere of Our Rejoicing

When we take a look at the circumstances that we find our world in today, it seems as though there isn't much to rejoice in. With the world crisis we have found ourselves in and the possibility of food sanctions, the likes in which our day and time has not every experienced before, one might find it hard to rejoice in such things. However, for the believer, the sphere of our rejoicing isn't in our circumstances, but in the Lord. The Apostle Paul wrote about such joy and rejoicing.
"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice." (Philippians 4:4) Paul said to rejoice in the Lord. When we allow our circumstances to guide our joy, our circumstances can lead us to anxiety and worry. However, when we fix our hope and trust in the Lord, we find true joy and can rejoice in all circumstances. Paul writes again in 1 Thessalonians 5:16, "Rejoice always."

"Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, and Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Romans 15: 13) For God is our source of hope, peace, joy, and rejoicing.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice."
Philippians 4:4
