Finding the true nourishment your soul needs.
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life: whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)
Jesus was not speaking of physical hunger and thirst, but of a spiritual hunger and thirst. He "is" the only one who can give life eternal. When Jesus said, "I am", he was saying I am he by which all creation was made. When God made himself known to man he used the word "I Am". "I AM THAT I AM," says God (Exodus 3:14) "I change not."
Jesus invites us to take of that living bread and water. On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, :If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. (John 7:37) These words were not spoken for only those within the sound of Jesus' voice, but for you and I as well. "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29B)
"As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.
