There is no such thing as defeat as best as Satan tries. Paul said it best: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us (Rom. 8:35-37).
Do we get knocked around in the battle? Without a doubt. But the church has continued to grow for the past two thousand years, and our ultimate victory is assured.
LORD, I come to you with a humble and contrite heart. Forgive me where I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. Thank you for your words of truth found in Scripture. For through You and by You all things hold together. I lift my voice in worship and my soul seeks for you. May our prayer be pleasing to you. May it be a sweet smell and pleasing aroma. Thank you for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You have made us, the body of believers, more than conquerors. It is in this that we have victory and ultimate assurance. It is in Jesus precious name I pray, amen.
