The Name Above Every Name

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Have you ever stopped to grasp the depth of what the names of our Lord and Savior mean? The names given to Christ the Lord. The names he shall be called. He will be our "Wonderful Counselor", our "Mighty God", our "Everlasting Father", and our "Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). It is Jesus Christ that God highly exalted above every name. "God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father "(Philippians 2:9-10). He is our Lord of Lord's and King of King's.

Lord, thank you that you are our Lord of Lord's and King of King's. Thank you for being our "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Thank you for being our Lord and Savior. We humble ourselves before you today and give you praise and with our mouth we do confess you as Lord and Savior of our life. All glory goes to you.
