When Small Things Become Big

Have you ever wondered how the world has gotten so far away from living lives pleasing to God? How did we get to the place we are finding ourselves in? Our world is changing so quickly. There is a great need in this world for righteous Christian anger. We have compromised on the small things, and now, they are the big things. Sin knocked on the door of our hearts and we opened it. If God hates sin, His people should hate sin too. If evil arouses His anger, it should arouse ours too. What other reaction can wickedness be expected to provoke in those who love God? As Christians, we should stand on the unchanging Word of God amid a rapidly changing culture, and we must disagree without being unnecessarily disagreeable people. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  This verse is speaking to the children of God, not to the children of the evil one. When are we going to truly turn back to God and seek His face? When are we going to stop allowing the suttle sinfulness that creeps at the door from sneaking into our worship of a Holy God?
