The Throne of God

Encouragement for the Saint

Some of the most breathtakingly beautiful descriptions of that which awaits the saints of God are found in the book of Revelation. Yes, Revelation. In chapter 7, John describes the vision of believers around the throne of God:
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" And all the angels were standing around the throne around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen"(vv.9-12)
John describes a glorious sight of believers from every tribe and tongue and nation surrounding the throne of God and worshiping the Lamb. This is what we have to look forward to. When we take our last breath from this earthly life, which has  been given to us by God, we will truly be able to worship the Lord without ceasing. If you are a follower of Christ, be encouraged by this. Christ has already won the victory, and we will soon surround His throne and praise Him forevermore.
.Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (I Thessalonians 5:16-18). God has even more blessings in store for us at the last day.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. Please forgive me when I sin and fall short of your glory. Thank you for some of the most breathtaking descriptions of heaven this side of heaven. And this is what awaits us, to see and worship our Lord Jesus Christ without ceasing. For you will wipe away every tear and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor pain, for the former things will pass away. You will dwell with us. There will be no more corruption for we will see your face. An You will be our light. Thank you for Jesus Christ who has taken away the sins of the world. Who took my place on the Cross of Calvary. May our prayer be pleasing to You. May it be a sweet sound to your ears as we lift our voice in worship to you this day. It is in Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.
