Inviting Others to Come and See Jesus

D.T. Niles stated, "Evangelism is just one beggar telling another where to find bread." When we love as Jesus loves, there is a sense of urgency we feel in our hearts to extend an invitation for others to "come and see" Jesus. Our own testimony can be an effective tool when sharing the gospel. An invitation to "come and see" can lead someone's eyes to be opened for their own need of redemption. It is the kindness of God that works in a person's heart and the Holy Spirit who does the work of conviction. Andrew had been listening to the preaching of John the Baptist and he didn't waste time sharing the good news. The first thing he did was go tell his brother.

Lord, forgive us of our sin. We are all sinners in need of forgiveness for there is not one who can save ourselves. We ask that when the door is opened for us to share the good news of what you have done in our lives, we will be bold, firm, and loving. I pray that fear will not cause us to shrink back from speaking of you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for taking my place on the cross and carrying my sin. It is in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

John 1:40-41
One of the two who heard John speak and who followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (Which means Christ.).
