"We" not "Me"

Keeping Our Kingdom Focus

When we keep our focus on others we are exercising our rights in a responsible way. We become "We" focused and not "Me" focused. When have you heard someone use the words, "I have the right to do anything"? Well we may have the right but not everything is constructive. This is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Paul wrote to the Corinthians about this very thing. Does it sound familiar? He stated: "I have the right to do anything," you say—but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"— but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. (I Corinthians 10:23:-24) We want our own way but Paul called us to humble ourselves and allow the focus to be on "we" not "me". Let's try to practice keeping others first in our life today. When we put on kingdom focus we can see others through a new lense. 

Lord, please forgive us of our sin of selfishness. Help us to remember to see others with your eyes and keep them first above ourselves. You know what is best for us for this is a better way to live bringing honor to you. Thank You that You are ever present helping us to live life that is pleasing to you. May we be a sweet aroma to you today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
