Keeping His Word on Your Lips

We Are Called to Meditate on His Word Day and Night

In the Book of Joshua God called us to meditate on his word continually. We are to meditate on it day and night. His word must not depart from our mouths. Why? So that we may be careful to do everything written in it. For if we do, His word says that we will prosper and succeed in all we do? When we are faced with the challenges of life, his word will guide and protect us. His word will be the light unto our path and lead us. When we meditate on his word day and night, we will be able to respond in combat to the darts hurled at us by Satan. 

This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8)

Therefore, let us continually meditate on His Word and keep it within our mouth so that we may prosper and succeed in all we do to the glory of the LORD. 

Lord, we come to you with a humble heart. Thank you for your words of promise to us. Forgive us when we sin and fall short and do the things in which we do not want to do. Give us your strength to fight against the darts that come at us. Thank you for giving your Son to die in my place so that I may obtain your righteousness. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
