Our Faithful Creator Knows Best

Peter stated; "Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. (1 Peter 4:19)

While suffering according to God's will, let us deposit for safekeeping our souls to a faithful Creator. A faithful Creator! Oh, how this gives my soul such encouragement and strength to continue the race in which God has planned for me. For God said; "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5). So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?" (v.6).

Therefore, since we have a faithful Creator, He knows what is best for us, even through the trials and suffering of this world. So, let us continue to do good while putting our trust in God.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. Forgive me where I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. May the prayer of your servant be a pleasing sound to You as I lift my voice in worship this day. Thank You for Scriptures such as these that give my soul peace and comfort, a security within my heart that could never be explained by speech. You know my heart, You know my thoughts before I even speak. You know me better than I know myself. Because of my faithful Creator, who by His very hands created every little intricate part of my being, I can be of good cheer while doing good even though I may suffer. Thank you for Jesus Christ who has taken away the sins of the world. It is in the name of Jesus I pray, amen.

Uncommon Wisdom of God

Speaking a Message of Wisdom

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God's wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: "what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived"—the things God has prepared for those who love him (I Cor. 2:6-9).
Paul was witness to the deficiencies of the wisdom of the age and of its rulers who were "coming to nothing". Is there anything new under the sun? I dare say, No. What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. (Eccles. 1:9). The same spirit of anti-Christ which crucified our Lord and Savior is the source of persecution for Christians today.

Without the ministry of the Holy Spirit we would be utterly incapable of understanding the things of God. And such is the world who has gone astray. Astray from God. Astray from holiness and goodness. It seeks its own desires and comes to nothing. And where is the Church? Where are the people of God in all of this? Are we to cower down and watch as the world spirals at a fast pace down into the pit of Hell? No! We are to speak the truth into peoples lives. We are to speak the message of life to a perishing world.

Lord, I come to You with a humble heart that seeks after You. My heart is broken because of the fallenness of this world. We have gone astray. And seems as though the Church has gone with it. It has left its first love. I come before You today and make request for the Church, the people of God, that have been faithful and true to stand as bold as lions on the foundation of our faith. To stay true to its first love. The battle is heating up. May we take up the armor of God and fight the good fight of faith. For You have overcome the world. I fall on my knees and seek Your face Lord. I pour my heart out to You this day. May Your Church rise up! Rise up Church! Seek the lost and bring them home to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. It is in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

Strength, Trust...Rejoicing

I Will Rejoice in the LORD

Habakkuk had complained to God twice. His first, he questioned God's wisdom and expressed bewilderment at his, seemingly, inactivity in the face of blatant violation of his law. The second complaint to God, How could he use a wicked nation to judge a nation more righteous than they? God's answer. "The righteous shall live by faith." (Habakkuk 2: 4).

Like Habakkuk, It may seem as though God is idol, not moving as fast as we would like. Or that he is distant. Especially when we see the world turned upside down. However, God is, in his timing and in his good pleasure, making all things work out to his glory for each and every single person on the face of the earth who love God. .(Romans 8:28).

Therefore, our strength, and trust should be in God our Savior not on what we see happening in the world around us. And as such, our hearts rejoice in Him. Take heart for he has overcome the world. (John 16:33).

Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Please forgive me when I sin and fall short of Your glory. May the prayer of your servant be a pleasing sound to You this day as I lift my voice to You in praise. May my eyes be ever on You and a heart that seeks after You. You are my strength in whom I trust. I rejoice in God my Savior. Thank You for Jesus Christ who has taken away the sins of the world. It is in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Our Security in Christ

Since God is For Us

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8:31-35).

There isn't anything that can separate us from the love of God. For he gave his own Son for us.Therefore, since God is for us we should go out into the world with bold strength to share the gospel wherever our feet may tread. How can we but not share this good news when we have been so freely given so much? As believers in Jesus Christ we are eternally secure.

Lord, I come before You with a humble heart. I give thanks to you for eternal security through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. There is nothing that can separate us from Your love for us. May the prayer of Your servant be a pleasing sound to you this day as we make our requests. For I pray for those around me that do not know You will come to a saving faith in You. Open our eyes to see wondrous things from Your Word this day I pray. It is in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

Doxology: A Call to Battle

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)

Omnipotent God is able to keep you from stumbling. The power of Jesus Christ will sustain the sincere believer from falling to the temptation of apostasy, abandoning the faith. We will be presented blameless before God, for we possess, as Christians, Christ's imputed righteousness through  justification by faith and have been made worthy of eternal life in heaven.

Jude ends with the "doxology"  to return to the theme of salvation and bolstered the courage of believers to know that Christ would protect them from the present apostasy and a call to battle for the truth. For he wrote, "Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to "contend for the faith" that was once for all delivered to the saints.

Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. May the prayer of your servant be a pleasing sound as we lift our voice in prayer. May we stand firm in the faith. For you alone are able to keep your servant from stumbling. May our feet stand on Your firm foundation. May we put on the whole armor of God so that we may be able to withstand the evil forces of this world and battle for truth. To you be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen..

Eternal Destination Changed

His Grace Saved Us

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9).

It is by His grace given to us as a gift that we have been saved through faith. it is what Jesus Christ has done for us. Our eternal destination and separation from God changed through His work on the cross. There are no other works man can do to set us free from the wrath of God. For God chose to give us salvation as a gift. Think about that, given to us as a gift from God himself as a gift through His Son. He bore our sin on the cross past, present, and future to be remembered no more.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. Please forgive me when I sin and fall short of your glory. Thank you for the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. What was free for me cost Jesus his blood to be poured out on the cross for me. The penalty for my sin has been paid and I have been ransomed from the wrath of God. My eternal destination changed because of what he has done for me and all of the human race from before time began. May we lift our voice in worship to you this day for tomorrow is not promised. May our prayer be a pleasing sound to you as we pour out our heart to you. I fall on my knees in worship for what you have done for us. May all that you have called turn from their sin and acknowledge their need for salvation this day. It is in Jesus name I pray, amen.

The Way Everlasting

Inviting God to Search our Hearts

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139: 23-24) David invited God to search his heart to remove any unrighteousness in his heart even when it was against the enemies of God. Let this be our hearts and minds today to turn from anything that may be hindering our walk with God.

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart. I come before you to make request and invite You to see if there be anything in my heart that is grievous to You. Lead me in the way everlasting. Oh, how I desperately seek you from within my very being. May the prayers of your servants be a pleasing sound to You this day as we lift our voice in prayer. May it be a pleasing aroma and sweet sound. Forgive us where we have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. May all that You have called before time began come to you in repentant faith this day, for tomorrow is not promised. Thank you for Jesus Christ who has taken away the sins of the world. It is in the precious name of Jesus I pray, amen.

Give Thanks

When You Have No More

I Give thanks to You again and again O, God. All I have, I have in You. So I through up my hands in praise to You until I have no more to give. All I have is a hallelujah.  Hallelujah to the King seated on the throne forevermore.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD; for, he is good: for his steadfast love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)

Lord, I come to You in humble submission. With thanksgiving and praise I come to you with a heart that is full. Oh, how my heart longs to give all I can to Your glory. You are life and life more abundantly. In Christ I have been made new for my heart should fail had you not renewed my life. With my hands lifted and my eyes toward You, I sing praise. Praise to the One in whom has redeemed my soul. The King of Kings and LORD of Lords. Thank you for Jesus Christ who has taken away the sins of the world for all whom will believe You are the Son of God. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Be Still and Know

God Is Our Fortress

Sometimes it is good to just be still. Be still and reflect on the goodness of God. In the stillness of the quiet there is peace. God is our fortress, our refuge and strength. So, be still and know that He is God.
Psalm 46:10-11
"Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth!"
The LORD of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our strength.
Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. I come before you in humble submission to the call on my life. O, but to taste and to see Your goodness. My heart is full. You have given me peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank you for Your grace poured out on me. In the stillness of the quiet You speak to my heart. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. May all that You have called listen and obey this day I pray. May those that are lost come to You for forgiveness and grace. For You sent Your Son to die on the cross be risen on the third day for all of humanity to take our sins away. You nailed them to the cross to be remembered no more for those who admit, believe, and confess that they are a sinner and in need of forgiveness. May our prayer be a pleasing sound to your ears this day. May we do all for the glory of God. It is in Jesus name I pray, amen.
